How to get the most out of PIP Companion
PIP Companion is designed to give you a calmer place to prepare your thoughts before filling in anything officially. You can use it to build Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claim notes, save real-life examples, organise evidence and review what you have written before exporting a preparation summary.

Start with Learn if PIP feels confusing
The Learn section can help if Personal Independence Payment feels confusing. It explains how PIP works, what daily living and mobility mean, and why real-life examples may matter when you are preparing your own notes.
Use Build Claim to work section by section
In Build Claim, you can choose Daily Living or Mobility and write notes for one activity at a time. This is preparation, not the official form. You can use it to gather thoughts before filling anything in officially or speaking to a qualified benefits adviser.
Write rough notes first
Notes do not need to sound perfect or official at first. You can start with plain words and tidy them later.
Save real-life examples in Evidence
The Evidence area is useful for saving everyday incidents, appointments, reminders, journeys that were difficult, missed meals, falls, fatigue afterwards, or times someone had to help. These notes can become useful PIP evidence prompts when you review your preparation.
Use Review as a gentle checklist
Review does not score your claim, judge what you have written, predict an outcome, or replace advice. It simply helps you notice where more useful detail may be needed, such as frequency, support, safety, time taken or what happens afterwards.
Export when you want a preparation summary
Export creates a preparation summary. It is not an official Personal Independence Payment form, but it can help you review your notes, copy from them, or discuss them with an adviser or support worker.
Keep coming back to it
PIP preparation can be easier when it is built slowly. You can add PIP claim notes after something happens, return when you remember PIP examples, and review your PIP preparation before completing anything officially.

Use PIP Companion to build your Personal Independence Payment claim notes, examples and evidence in a calmer, more organised way.
PIP Companion is not connected to the DWP, is not an official Personal Independence Payment form, and does not replace qualified benefits advice. It is a preparation workspace to help you feel clearer, more organised and more prepared.
